अध्याय ४९ — विवाहानुष्ठाने ब्रह्मणः काममोहः
Brahmā’s Enchantment by Desire during the Wedding Rites
आद्यन्तावस्य यन्मध्यमिदमन्यदहम्बहिः । यतोऽव्ययः सनैतानि तत्सत्यम्ब्रह्म चिद्भवान्
ādyantāvasya yanmadhyamidamanyadahambahiḥ | yato'vyayaḥ sanaitāni tatsatyambrahma cidbhavān
Esa Realidad en la que están contenidos el comienzo y el fin, y que es el centro de todo esto; que es distinta de «esto» y distinta de «yo», y sin embargo trasciende todo—Él, el Ser imperecedero del que surgen estas (categorías de experiencia), es lo Verdadero, el Brahman, la misma Conciencia: Tú, en verdad, eres Eso.

It points to Shiva as Satya-Brahman—imperishable Consciousness that transcends both the perceived world (idam) and the ego-sense (aham), and yet contains and supports the entire cycle of beginning, middle, and end—guiding the seeker toward liberation through right knowledge and devotion.
The Linga is revered as the sign of the formless (nirguna) Reality; this verse supplies the inner meaning of Linga-worship—seeing Shiva not merely as a deity with form, but as the conscious ground from which all forms and experiences arise and in which they dissolve.
Meditate with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while contemplating the witness-Consciousness beyond ‘I’ and ‘this’; support the practice with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudraksha as aids to steadiness, purity, and Shiva-remembrance.
