Reception of the Auspicious Marriage Invitation
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights the Shaiva Siddhanta ideal of śaraṇāgati: hearing Śiva’s instruction, responding with joy and humility (praṇāma), honoring Him through parikrama, and then living out one’s ordained dharma as a sacred discipline.
The actions of bowing and circumambulating are core forms of saguna-upāsanā commonly offered to Śiva in temple worship—especially around the Śiva-liṅga—showing devotion expressed through embodied ritual reverence.
Perform praṇāma and parikrama with mindful remembrance of Śiva; as a simple daily practice, combine it with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") while reaffirming one’s dharmic duties.
