Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It teaches that Shiva is simultaneously the indwelling Self of all beings (immanent) and also transcendent—unchanging and desireless—yet compassionately accessible by taking a worshipful form for devotees, supporting the path of bhakti toward liberation.
Though Shiva is nirvikāra (unchanging) and beyond limitation, He accepts a saguna, worship-appropriate manifestation—such as the Shiva Linga—specifically to meet the devotee’s longing and enable focused devotion, ritual, and grace.
Cultivate heartfelt bhakti with steady meditation on Shiva’s presence as the inner Self, and support it with saguna worship—japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya) and Linga-puja—offering devotion that invites Shiva’s gracious manifestation.
