FAQs

The verse extols Pārvatī as uniquely auspicious and wondrous, indicating her status as Śakti—divine power—whose presence sanctifies the cosmos and supports Shiva’s saguna (manifest) līlā for the uplift of beings.

By praising Pārvatī’s incomparable form, the text emphasizes Shiva’s worship together with Śakti; in Shaiva tradition, devotion to the Liṅga is fulfilled through reverence to Shiva as Pati and Pārvatī as Śakti, the inseparable manifest dimension of the divine.

A practical takeaway is Śiva-Śakti smaraṇa (contemplation of Shiva with Parvati) alongside japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offered with bhakti, seeing Parvati as the embodiment of auspicious grace.
