Description of Kumāra’s Abhiṣeka
Consecration/Installation
Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse frames the Skanda-leela as divinely purposive: evil (adharma) is removed through Shiva’s ordained power, restoring cosmic order and enabling devotees to return to right worship and inner discipline.
Kumāra’s victory is presented as an extension of Saguna Shiva’s compassionate governance: the Lord manifests power through divine agencies to protect dharma, encouraging steadfast devotion to Shiva’s tangible, worshipful forms such as the Linga.
The takeaway is purposeful bhakti: remember Shiva’s protective will while japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and disciplined worship (e.g., Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa where customary) to align oneself with dharma.
