Episode on the Origin of Gaṇeśa (Śvetakalpa Account)
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It frames a moment of divine līlā where even the Lord’s apparent anger functions as purposeful instruction—showing that the Pati (Śiva) governs events to guide devotees and uphold dharma, not from human-like agitation.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva acting within narrative time—speaking, responding, and teaching through relationship (father-son). Such līlās support devotional worship that later matures into steadiness in Linga-upāsanā and contemplation of the Lord beyond form.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate self-restraint and reverence toward Śiva through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and calm remembrance of Śiva’s līlā, especially when emotions arise.
