(Nyāsa-varṇanam) — Description of Nyāsa in the Saṃnyāsa Procedure

It teaches that mantra-sādhana must be done with proper order (krama) and humility, beginning with reverent salutations—especially to the Guru and to Gaṇapati—so the path to Śiva’s grace is unobstructed.
In Śaiva practice, worship of Saguna Śiva (including Liṅga-pūjā) is preceded by removing obstacles and establishing right understanding; hence honoring Gaṇapati and the Guru supports steady, rule-based worship leading toward Śiva’s realization.
It suggests a krama-based use of bīja-mantras along with physical gestures of reverence (praṇāma/nyāsa-like touching of limbs), and explicit guru-vandana plus Gaṇapati-namaskāra before proceeding with the main Śaiva worship.
