Oh Pārvatī, desde el lado oriental hasta el lado septentrional, en las bases de los pétalos, debe colocarse (o contemplarse) al Sol en orden, por sus nombres: Āditya, Bhāskara, Bhānu y Ravi.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Vāmadeva
Mantra: ādityo bhāskaro bhānū raviḥ
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches ordered contemplative placement (anupūrvaśaḥ) within a lotus-like meditative scheme, showing that cosmic powers such as Sūrya are harmonized as supports within Shiva-oriented worship, guiding the mind toward disciplined dhyāna rather than scattered devotion.
In Saguna upāsanā, surrounding deities and powers are invoked as limbs of a structured worship (āvaraṇa/nyāsa-like contemplation). Here, Sūrya’s names are positioned at the petal-bases, while the central aim remains Shiva-realization—auxiliary devatās serve the Shiva-centered rite rather than replacing it.
A lotus-petal visualization/nyāsa: mentally (or ritually) assign the Sun’s names—Āditya, Bhāskara, Bhānu, Ravi—at the bases of petals from east toward north in sequence, maintaining steady attention and purity of mantra-focused worship.
