Ṣaḍvidhārtha-Parijñāna: Praṇavārtha and the Sixfold Unity of Meaning (षड्विधार्थपरिज्ञानम् / प्रणवार्थपरिज्ञानम्)
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It teaches that Sadāśiva is ultimately beyond worldly operations, yet out of anugraha (saving grace) He expresses the five cosmic functions—showing that liberation depends on the Lord’s gracious initiative, not merely on mechanical cosmology.
The Liṅga represents the Lord who transcends attributes, while also being the source of manifest functions. Worship of Saguna Śiva (as the gracious Lord) aligns the devotee with anugraha, the power by which the transcendent Sadāśiva becomes accessible.
Meditate on Sadāśiva as the giver of anugraha while repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offering worship to the Liṅga with bhakti—seeking grace that releases the soul (paśu) from bonds (pāśa).
