Sukta 1.59
बृहती इव सूनवे रोदसी गिरो होता मनुष्यो न दक्षः । स्वर्वते सत्यशुष्माय पूर्वीर्वैश्वानराय नृतमाय यह्वीः ॥
bṛhatī́ iva sūnáve ródasī gíro hótā manuṣyò na dákṣaḥ | svàr-vate satyá-śuṣmāya pū́rvīr vaiśvānaráya nṛ́-tamāya yahvī́ḥ ||
Como los dos vastos Mundos, Cielo y Tierra, hacia su hijo, así brotan las palabras: Agni, el Hotar, diestro como el hombre de perfecta capacidad. Hacia el señor del ámbito luminoso, hacia quien posee fuerza verdadera, las antiguas y poderosas expresiones se precipitan — hacia Vaiśvānara, el guía más varonil, el impetuoso.
