Sukta 1.156
तमु स्तोतारः पूर्व्यं यथा विद ऋतस्य गर्भं जनुषा पिपर्तन । आस्य जानन्तो नाम चिद्विवक्तन महस्ते विष्णो सुमतिं भजामहे ॥
tam u stotāraḥ pūrvyaṃ yathā vida ṛtasya garbhaṃ januṣā pipartana | ā asya jānanto nāma cid vivaktana mahas te viṣṇo sumatiṃ bhajāmahe ||
A él — al antiguo— podamos conocerlo, oh cantores, como conocemos el seno del Ṛta, que él colma por su propio nacimiento. Conociendo incluso su nombre, proclamadlo; oh Viṣṇu de lo Vasto, participamos de tu buen pensar (sumatí).
