क्रत्वा यदस्य तविषीषु पृञ्चतेऽग्नेरवेण मरुतां न भोज्येषिराय न भोज्या । स हि ष्मा दानमिन्वति वसूनां च मज्मना । स नस्त्रासते दुरितादभिह्रुतः शंसादघादभिह्रुतः ॥
krátvā yád asya táviṣīṣu pṛñcáte’gnér avéna marútāṃ ná bhojyé iṣiráya ná bhojyā́ | sá hí ṣmā dā́nam ínvati vásūnāṃ ca májmanā | sá nas trāsate duritā́d abhí-hrutaḥ śaṃsā́d aghā́d abhí-hrutaḥ ||
Cuando por su voluntad (krátu) sus potencias (tavíṣī) son unidas y colmadas — bajo la protección de Agni — como los Maruts para el que goza, como fuerzas para el impulsor, no para un uso menor: pues él en verdad hace avanzar el dar de las riquezas y, por su grandeza, su aumento. Él nos guarda de la torcedura que hiere desde la emboscada, del infortunio que hiere desde la emboscada; de la injuria, del mal que hiere desde la emboscada.
