The Slaying of Kumbhakarna
यस्त्वंशक्रादिभिर्वरैरसह्यःप्राप्यपौरुषम् ।तत्सत्यंनान्यथावीरदृष्टस्तेऽद्यपराक्रमः ।।।।एषदाशरथीरामस्तिष्ठत्यद्रिरिवाचलः ।
yas tvaṃ śakrādibhir varair asahyaḥ prāpya pauruṣam | tat satyaṃ nānyathā vīra dṛṣṭas te 'dya parākramaḥ || eṣa dāśarathī rāmas tiṣṭhaty adrir ivācalaḥ ||
«Héroe, es verdad: la hombría que has alcanzado te hace difícil de resistir aun para Indra y los suyos. Hoy se ha visto tu valor. Pero aquí está Rāma, hijo de Daśaratha, firme e inmóvil como una montaña.»
"O Hero! that heroism you have acquired is irresistible even by Indra is true. Now your prowess has been witnessed. Rama stands here, immovable like a mountain."
