The Awakening of Kumbhakarna
यन्नदेवैःकृतोराजानापिदैत्यैर्नदानवैः ।कृतःसइहरामेणविमुक्तःप्राणसंशयात् ।।।।
yan na devaiḥ kṛto rājā nāpi daityair na dānavaiḥ |kṛtaḥ sa iha rāmeṇa vimuktaḥ prāṇasaṃśayāt ||
Lo que ni los dioses, ni los Daityas, ni los Dānavas lograron jamás, esto fue hecho aquí por Rāma: ese rey fue liberado del borde mismo de la muerte.
"The king could escape from the verge of death and such an act was never done by Daityas or Danavas earlier in the encounter."
True strength is governed by dharma: the capacity to spare an enemy when one could destroy him shows mastery over anger and ego.
Continuing the warning, the speaker stresses that Rāma’s extraordinary conduct and capability surpass even divine and demonic precedents.
Self-mastery (indriya-nigraha) expressed as deliberate restraint in victory.
