समुद्रतट-प्रयाणम् तथा वेलावन-निवेशः
March to the Seacoast and Encampment at the Shore
गजश्च गिरिसङ्काशो गवयश्च महाबलः ।गवाक्षश्चाग्रतो यातु गवां दृप्तइवर्षभ: ।।।।
gajaśca girisaṅkāśo gavayaśca mahābalaḥ |
gavākṣaścāgrato yātu gavāṃ dṛpta ivarṣabhaḥ ||
Que Gaja—semejante a una montaña—junto con el poderoso Gavaya, y Gavākṣa, marche al frente, como toros orgullosos que encabezan la manada.
The enthusiastic vanaras saw the sea inhabited by animals filled with gems and water concentrated in one place rising to the sky, as though infuriated. The rising of the waves (the noise) of the ocean by the cause of wind seemed as if they were talking about.
Dharma is expressed as orderly command: placing capable leaders at the front to protect the whole force and serve the righteous mission effectively.
Commanders are appointed to lead the vanara formation as the army proceeds.
Responsibility in leadership—taking the foremost position where risk is greatest.
