Contemplando bosques y montañas, dejé de nuevo el lado del sur y alcancé el occidente, aún perseguido por Vālī.
'Looking at the places around, I reached the best of mountains where the Sun sets (I found Vali still chasing me) and ran towards the north.
The verse supports the dharmic idea of perseverance without malice—enduring hardship while continuing to seek a rightful, safe place.
Sugrīva continues his account of changing directions, now reaching the west while Vālī remains in pursuit.
Steadfastness—maintaining effort despite relentless danger.
