The Account of Tāṭakā and the Royal Duty to Protect
सैषा शापकृतामर्षा ताटका क्रोधमूर्छिता।देशमुत्सादयत्येनमगस्त्यचरितं शुभम्।।।।
saiṣā śāpa-kṛtāmarṣā tāṭakā krodha-mūrchitā | deśam utsādayaty enam agastya-caritaṃ śubham || 1.25.13 ||
Esta misma Tāṭakā, enloquecida de ira y encendida por el resentimiento nacido de la maldición, está devastando esta región sagrada, antaño frecuentada por Agastya.
Enraged at the curse, senseless, Tataka with anger, has been ravaging this sacred land when Agastya walked.
Dharma includes protecting sacred and peaceful regions from violent disruption; anger that turns outward becomes a threat to communal well-being.
