गोदावरीतटे सीतान्वेषणम्
The Search for Sītā at the Godāvarī
ततः प्रचोदिता भूतैश्शंसास्मैतां प्रियामिति।न तु साभ्यवदतसितां पृष्टा रामेण शोचता।।।।
tataḥ pracoditā bhūtaiḥ śaṃsāsmā etāṃ priyām iti |
na tu sābhyavadat sītāṃ pṛṣṭā rāmeṇa śocatā ||
Entonces, aunque los seres de la naturaleza la instaban: «¡Háblale de su amada!», el río, preguntado por Rāma que se consumía en pena, no dijo palabra acerca de Sītā.
