The Greatness of Hari’s Janmāṣṭamī (Jayantī) Vow
Unspecified (context-dependent within Brahma-khaṇḍa narration)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta

Sandhi Resolution Notes:
If Aṣṭamī is fully present and overlaps with the Rohiṇī nakṣatra even for a single muhūrta, that Aṣṭamī is treated as a ‘complete’ (saṃpūrṇā) Aṣṭamī for observance purposes.
The verse indicates an added auspiciousness when Aṣṭamī coincides with Rohiṇī specifically on Budhavāra (Wednesday), a combination often used in Purāṇic vrata-timing to mark heightened merit or suitability.
It supports the Purāṇic emphasis on correct vrata and ritual timing (pañcāṅga-based observance), where tithi–nakṣatra conjunctions determine when a fast, worship, or vow is considered properly fulfilled.
