Manifestation of the Śrī Vāsudeva Hymn in the Glory of Guru-tīrtha

Cyavana Narrative within the Vena Episode

Unspecified (verse presented as a devotional/refuge formula within the narrative context)

Concept: The Lord pervades as the sun’s powers (drying and nourishing) and as the inner vital wind (prāṇa), sustaining life through complementary processes.

Application: Use breath-awareness as devotion: silently repeat a name of Vāsudeva with inhalation/exhalation; honor nature’s cycles (heat/rain/food) as divine service by living sustainably and gratefully.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A split-scene mandala shows the sun above drawing mist from oceans (drying) while monsoon clouds return rain that ripens fields (rasa). At the center, a translucent human figure sits in meditation; within the chest, a tiny radiant Vāsudeva glows as prāṇa streams like golden threads through nāḍīs, linking cosmos and body.","primary_figures":["Vāsudeva (as antaryāmin)","Sūrya (sun motif)","Meditating yogin/devotee","Personified Vāyu (subtle)"],"setting":"Cosmic-nature panorama fused with inner-body visualization; oceans, clouds, fields, and a central meditative silhouette forming a sacred diagram.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["sky gold","monsoon gray-blue","emerald green","ocean teal","inner-light white"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central meditating figure with a gold-leaf heart-lotus containing miniature Vāsudeva; above, stylized sun with embossed rays; side panels show ocean evaporation and rain-fed fields; ornate borders and gem-like highlights, rich reds/greens framing the cosmic-breath mandala.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical landscape with sunlit ocean and gentle rain over terraced fields; a calm yogin in the foreground; subtle translucent rendering of inner prāṇa lines; cool blues and greens balanced by warm sunrise tones, delicate brushwork and refined serenity.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: mandala composition with bold outlines; sun as bright yellow disc, clouds as patterned bands; central seated figure with heart-lotus icon containing Vāsudeva; prāṇa depicted as stylized flowing lines; saturated natural pigments and temple-wall symmetry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: circular composition with lotus borders; central heart-lotus holding Vāsudeva; surrounding rings depict sun, clouds, rain, and crops in decorative panels; deep blue ground with gold and white detailing, intricate floral filigree and peacock motifs to symbolize life-force and renewal."}

FAQs

It presents drying (śoṣa) and the granting of moisture/essence (rasa) as functions operating through cosmic agencies (sun-power and wind), ultimately grounded in Vāsudeva as the supreme source and support.

“Antaragaḥ” indicates an indwelling, inward-moving presence—Vāyu as prāṇa (vital air) functioning within beings, sustaining life and bodily processes.

It expresses śaraṇāgati—taking refuge—teaching that recognizing the divine behind cosmic and vital forces culminates in surrender to Vāsudeva as protector and ultimate reality.
