तिष्ठतिष्ठ क्षणं दैत्य पश्य मे लाघवं पुनः । इत्युक्त्वा तु रणे दैत्यं जघान दशभिः शरैः

tiṣṭhatiṣṭha kṣaṇaṃ daitya paśya me lāghavaṃ punaḥ | ityuktvā tu raṇe daityaṃ jaghāna daśabhiḥ śaraiḥ

«¡Detente, detente un instante, oh Daitya; contempla de nuevo mi ligereza!» Dicho esto, en la batalla hirió al Daitya con diez flechas.
