Ese hombre alcanza el cielo y se recrea en Nandana y en los demás bosques de deleite celestiales, obteniendo sucesivamente un mérito igual al de cien Aśvamedhas, cien mil Aśvamedhas y aun un crore de Aśvamedhas.
Narada (in the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue framework; verse states the phala/fruit of the act under discussion in Adhyaya 70)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents a phala-śruti: the promised result of a prescribed dharmic act—attainment of Svarga and enjoyment in divine realms—expressed through the traditional benchmark of Aśvamedha-equivalent merit.
While the verse is framed in ritual-merit language, Narada Purana commonly uses such comparisons to elevate the value of sanctioned worship, pilgrimage, and vows—implying that sincere performance yields exalted fruits beyond ordinary sacrifice-based measures.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual science) through the use of sacrifice-based merit units (medha/Aśvamedha) and the phala-śruti convention used to motivate correct observance of rites and tirtha-dharma.
