Kurukṣetra-yātrā-krama
Suta (narrating the Narada Purana discourse; tirtha-mahatmya passage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It elevates tīrtha-yātrā and Gaṅgā-reverence as powerful means of purification, teaching that sincere worship of Mahādeva at a sacred ford can yield merit comparable to grand Vedic sacrifices.
Bhakti is shown through humility and surrender—bowing in the Gaṅgā and performing archana to Mahādeva—where inner reverence is presented as capable of producing results traditionally associated with costly ritual acts.
Ritual praxis (kalpa-oriented conduct) is implied: tīrtha-snāna, praṇāma, and devatā-arcana as structured acts of worship, alongside the Purāṇic principle of equivalence-of-merit (phala-śruti) for prescribed sacred actions.
