Narada (addressing a Devi/Divine Lady in the Tirtha-mahatmya narration)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that tirtha-bathing (snāna) combined with sincere faith (śraddhā) and worship (abhyarcana) yields powerful punya whose effect extends beyond the individual, uplifting prosperity in the family line up to seven generations.
Bhakti is shown as faith-filled worship: not mere travel to a tirtha, but reverent abhyarcana performed with śraddhā, which becomes the cause of lasting auspiciousness (śrī) and divine favor.
It highlights ritual practice (kalpa-oriented conduct): the efficacy of snāna at a designated tirtha and worship done with śraddhā, along with the traditional doctrine of multi-generational merit (kula-phala) up to the seventh generation.
