The Greatness of Puruṣottama
Aṣṭākṣarī Maṇḍala-Pūjā and Nyāsa
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It emphasizes that at this sacred setting (atra), devotion is concretized through mantra-based pūjā—worship of Acyuta (Vishnu) anchored in the fundamental (mūla) mantra, indicating a direct, orthodox method of approaching the Lord.
Bhakti here is not merely emotion; it is expressed as disciplined worship—pūjā offered to Vishnu with a prescribed mantra—showing devotion aligned with scriptural practice.
The verse points to mantra-prayoga (application of mantra) within ritual worship, which relies on correct pronunciation and usage (Śikṣā and Vyākaraṇa) even though no specific Vedāṅga is named explicitly.
