FAQs

It teaches the idea of rakṣā (protective sanctification): a consecrated binding worn by children is said to neutralize harmful grahas, establishing steady protection through dharmic ritual means.

While not explicitly naming a deity here, the verse reflects the bhakti-oriented Purāṇic principle that protection arises through faith in sanctified rites and sacred power, typically performed with devotional intent and remembrance.

It aligns with Jyotiṣa/Vedic astrology usage of the term graha (afflicting influence) and presents a practical remedial approach (rakṣā-bandhana) used in traditional graha-śānti and child-protection rites.
