Glory of Puruṣottama: Pañcatīrthī Observance and Narasiṃha Worship

Narada (teaching in a ritual/mahatmya context; addressing Vishnu as 'lotus-eyed')
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It emphasizes disciplined, counted homa (fire-offering) using specific pure materials (palāśa fuel and tri-madhu), showing that precision and purity in ritual action are themselves a means to spiritual efficacy and merit.
By addressing the Lord as “lotus-eyed,” the rite is framed as an offering to Viṣṇu—turning technical ritual performance into devotional surrender, where repetition and care become an expression of bhakti.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is primary: correct samidh (fuel), correct oblation substance (tri-madhu), and a prescribed numerical count (20,000) reflecting methodical śrauta/smārta-style discipline.
