«Deseo oírlo todo: dímelo, y también la causa de ello.» Vasu dijo: «Escucha el relato de antaño, una historia que destruye el pecado.»
Vasu
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes śravaṇa (devotional hearing) of a puranic kathā as a purifier—an “earlier account” is introduced specifically as pāpa-praṇaśinī, capable of destroying sin through attentive listening and remembrance.
By foregrounding the act of hearing sacred narrative, it aligns with bhakti practice where śravaṇa is a primary limb—receiving the teaching with faith becomes the doorway to inner purification and dharmic understanding.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is the disciplined practice of śravaṇa—listening to authoritative accounts to learn causes (kāraṇa) and dharma.
