Pūjādi-kathana — Gaṅgā Vratas, Tenfold Worship, Stotra, and Mokṣa on the Riverbank
Narada (teaching in a Tirtha-Mahatmya setting; dialogue tradition commonly framed with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_journey":"A rising sequence of identifications (Śiva=Viṣṇu=Umā=Gaṅgā) culminates in the non-difference declaration (bheda-abhāva)."}
It teaches abheda-bhāva (non-difference) among Śiva, Viṣṇu, Umā, and Gaṅgā, guiding the pilgrim to honor all these divine forms without sectarian division—especially relevant in a Tīrtha-Māhātmya context.
It supports inclusive bhakti: devotion to Viṣṇu is not opposed to reverence for Śiva, Śakti (Umā), or Gaṅgā. The devotee’s attitude should be unity and respect, seeing one divine reality expressed through multiple sacred forms.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is ritual and devotional conduct at tīrthas—avoiding bheda (sectarian discrimination) while performing worship, snāna, and related observances in Gaṅgā-centered pilgrimage.
