It states a classic Purāṇic phala-śruti: by the stated dharmic act (in the surrounding Tīrtha-Māhātmya), one becomes purified of sin (vigata-kalmaṣa) and gains elevated status, showing that dharma yields both inner cleansing and auspicious results.
Though it speaks in terms of results, the key bhakti-aligned principle is inner purification—freedom from kalmaṣa—typically achieved through devotion-based dharma such as tīrtha-sevā, vrata, japa, and worship as taught in the Uttara-bhāga.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is directly taught in this verse; it functions as a results-statement (phala-śruti) emphasizing the practical outcome of dharmic observance and tīrtha-related practice.
