Kāṣṭhīla-Upākhyāna: Rākṣasī, Spear-Śakti, and Kāśī as Śakti-kṣetra
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It defines the highest role of a dhārmic wife as a spiritual protector—one who helps her husband turn away from pāpa and its consequences (naraka), thereby supporting upliftment rather than deepening saṃsāra.
Though not naming a deity here, the verse aligns with bhakti-based dharma: guiding a loved one away from sinful tendencies and toward sattvic, devotional living is presented as true service that loosens karmic bondage.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is dharma-śāstra ethics in household life—choosing conduct that reduces pāpa and strengthens puṇya.
