Determination of Tithi for Fasts, Parana, and Pitri Rites

तस्माद्विप्रा न कर्त्व्या विद्धाप्येकादशी तिथिः । यथा हंतिपुरा पुण्यं श्राद्धं च वृषलीपतिः ॥ ४४ ॥

tasmādviprā na kartvyā viddhāpyekādaśī tithiḥ | yathā haṃtipurā puṇyaṃ śrāddhaṃ ca vṛṣalīpatiḥ || 44 ||

Por ello, oh bráhmanas, no debe observarse la tithi de Ekādaśī cuando está “viddhā” (perforada o mezclada por otro tithi). Así como el marido de una mujer śūdra destruye el mérito de una ciudad, del mismo modo arruina el mérito de un śrāddha.
