FAQs

It highlights dharmic resolve in performing antyeṣṭi (last rites): even in hardship, the rite is carried out with proper materials (wood and ghee), underscoring the sanctity of samskāras within the Tirtha-Mahatmya narrative.

Bhakti here is implicit as duty offered in a sacred context: reverent performance of prescribed rites, done with sincerity and sacrifice, is portrayed as an act aligned with devotion and trust in dharma upheld at holy places.

It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) through the practical details of antyeṣṭi—arranging the pyre, using ghee, and placing the body properly—showing applied ritual discipline rather than grammar or astrology.
