Śeṣoditya-Sūrya-nyāsa, Soma-sādhana, Graha-pūjā, and Bhauma-vrata-vidhi
nyasetseṃdūnmātṛkārṇāñjayāṃtapuruṣātmane | namoṃte vyāpakaṃ maṃtrī haṃsnayāso'yamīritaḥ || 16 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that sacred sound (bīja and Mātṛkā letters) is to be internalized through nyāsa so the practitioner recognizes the all-pervading Purusha as the very Self, turning ritual placement into inward realization.
By ending the nyāsa with “namo te vyāpakaṃ,” the practitioner seals the practice with surrender and praise to the omnipresent Lord—devotion expressed through disciplined mantra-ritual and remembrance.
It reflects phonemic discipline tied to Śikṣā (proper sound/recitation) and Vyākaraṇa-based awareness of varṇas (letters), applied in a ritual-technical method (nyāsa) for mantra-sādhana.
