Chapter 55
तत् प्रभग्नं बल॑ दृष्टवा पार्थमाजिस्थितं पुन: । अभिप्रायं समाज्ञाय वैराटिरिदमब्रवीत्,विराटकुमार उत्तरने कौरव-सेनाको भागती और कुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुनको पुनः युद्धके लिये डटा हुआ देखकर उनका अभिप्राय समझकर यों कहा--'जिष्णो! मुझ सारथिके साथ इस सुन्दर रथपर बैठे हुए आप अब किस सेनाकी ओर जाना चाहते हैं? आप जहाँके लिये आज्ञा दें, वहीं आपके साथ चलूँ
tad prabhagnaṃ balaṃ dṛṣṭvā pārtham ājisthitaṃ punaḥ | abhiprāyaṃ samājñāya vairāṭir idam abravīt ||
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: Al ver a las huestes kauravas desbaratadas y a Pārtha (Arjuna) de nuevo firme en la lid, el príncipe de Virāṭa comprendió su intención y dijo: «¡Oh Jiṣṇu! Sentado en este espléndido carro conmigo por auriga, ¿hacia qué ejército deseas avanzar ahora? Adonde ordenes hoy, allí iré contigo».
