Arjuna–Karna Engagement in the Cattle-Raid Aftermath
अस्माभिह्दोष निकृतो वर्षाणीह त्रयोदश । सिंह: पाशविनिर्मुक्तो न न: शेष॑ करिष्यति
asmābhir doṣa-nikṛto varṣāṇīha trayodaśa | siṁhaḥ pāśa-vinirmukto na naḥ śeṣaṁ kariṣyati ||
Dijo Kripa: «Durante trece años aquí les hemos hecho agravio, manteniéndolos en el bosque y tratándolos con engaño. Ahora han quedado libres del vínculo de su voto; como un león soltado de su lazo, ¿no dejarán a ninguno de nosotros con vida? Sin saberlo hemos venido a dar con Arjuna, hijo de Kunti, que permanece aquí en soledad—como fuego oculto en un pozo—y hemos caído en un temor y un peligro terribles».
