tena sārathinā pārthaḥ sarvabhūtāni sarvaśaḥ | ajayatū khāṇḍavaprasthē na hi yantāsti tādṛśaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Con el apoyo de aquel auriga, Pārtha (Arjuna) había sometido a todos los seres por todos los rumbos en Khāṇḍavaprastha; por ello, no hay auriga que se le iguale.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Excellence and victory arise from coordinated roles: the hero’s valor must be matched by the charioteer’s mastery, composure, and faithful guidance. The verse highlights ethical leadership—recognizing that success is supported by competent allies, not claimed as a solitary achievement.
Vaiśampāyana praises a particular charioteer by recalling that, with his assistance, Arjuna once achieved sweeping victories at Khāṇḍavaprastha. The statement functions as a testimonial to the charioteer’s unmatched capability.
