Draupadī–Bhīmasena Dialogue on Suffering, Kāla, and Daiva
सो<थयं राज्ञो विराटस्य कन्यानां नर्तको युवा । आस्ते वेषप्रतिच्छन्न: कन्यानां परिचारक:,जैसे महासागर तट सीमाको नहीं लाँघ पाता, उसी प्रकार सहस्रों अप्रतिम तेजवाले राजा जिस वीरको वशीभूत करनेके लिये आगे न बढ़ सके, वही तरुण अर्जुन इस समय राजा विराटकी कन्याओंको नाचना सिखा रहा है और हीजड़ेके वेषमें छिपकर उन कन्याओंकी सेवा करता है
so 'thāyaṁ rājño virāṭasya kanyānāṁ nartako yuvā | āste veṣa-praticchannaḥ kanyānāṁ paricārakaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Ese mismo joven héroe—que antaño no pudo ser doblegado ni por miles de reyes que ardían con poder sin par—permanece ahora en el palacio del rey Virāṭa como maestro de danza de las princesas, oculto bajo un disfraz y sirviéndolas como asistente. El verso subraya que la verdadera fuerza puede aceptar humildad y ocultamiento para sostener un deber mayor y mantener intacto un voto.
