Agastya’s Encounter with Ilvala and Vātāpi; Dāna, Progeny, and the Renown of Agastya-Āśrama

गड्जाद्वारमथागम्य भगवानृषिसत्तम: | उग्रमातिष्ठत तप: सह पत्न्यानुकूलया,तदनन्तर मुनिश्रेष्ठ भगवान्‌ अगस्त्य अपनी अनुकूल पत्नीके साथ गंगाद्वार (हरिद्वार)- में आकर घोर तपस्यामें संलग्न हो गये

gaṅgādvāram athāgamya bhagavān ṛṣisattamaḥ | ugram ātiṣṭhata tapaḥ saha patnyānukūlayā ||

Entonces el bienaventurado sabio, el más excelso entre los videntes, llegó a Gaṅgādvāra (Haridwar). Allí, junto con su esposa devota y de ánimo concorde, emprendió severas austeridades con firme resolución.
