अध्याय ९० — लोमशोपदेशः तथा तीर्थयात्रानिश्चयः
Lomaśa’s Counsel and the Resolve for Pilgrimage
दाल्भ्यघोषश्न दाल्भ्यक्ष धरणीस्थो महात्मन: । कौन्तेयानन्तयशस: सुव्रतस्यामितौजस:
dālbhyaghoṣaś ca dālbhyakṣaḥ dharaṇīstho mahātmanaḥ | kaunteyānantayaśasaḥ suvratasya amitaujasaḥ ||
Dhaumya dijo: «Dālbhyaghoṣa y Dālbhyakṣa—ambos grandes almas que moran sobre la tierra—están vinculados con el héroe nacido de Kuntī, de fama sin término, firme en sus votos y de poder inconmensurable».
धौम्य उवाच
The verse highlights ideal heroic qualities—steadfast vows (suvrata), boundless vigor (amitaujas), and enduring fame (anantayaśas)—implying that ethical discipline and inner strength are central to true greatness.
Dhaumya identifies or introduces figures named Dālbhyaghoṣa and Dālbhyakṣa and links them to the renowned Kaunteya (a son of Kuntī), characterizing him through epithets that stress his virtue and power.
