धौम्य उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic value of tīrthas and sacred rivers: places sanctified by righteous kings and frequented by the dvijas become centers of purification, learning, and ethical cultivation.
Dhaumya is describing a notable river—Payoṣṇī—associated with the royal sage Nṛga, emphasizing its beauty, abundant waters, and its status as a tīrtha visited by the twice-born.
