Avanti–Narmadā–Puṣkara Tīrtha-Kathana (धौम्यकथितं तीर्थवर्णनम्)

यत्रानुवंशं भगवाञ्जामदग्न्यस्तथा जगौ । विश्वामित्रस्य तां दृष्टवा विभूतिमतिमानुषीम्‌,'उसी यज्ञमें विश्वामित्रका अलौकिक वैभव देखकर जमदग्निनन्दन परशुरामने उनके वंशके अनुरूप यशका वर्णन किया था

yatrānvaṁśaṁ bhagavāñ jāmadagnyas tathā jagau | viśvāmitrasya tāṁ dṛṣṭvā vibhūtim atimānuṣīm ||

Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Allí, el venerable Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma) recitó el linaje como corresponde; y al contemplar en aquel sacrificio el esplendor extraordinario, más que humano, de Viśvāmitra, describió la fama digna de su estirpe—mostrando que el poder nacido de la ascesis y el renombre ganado con disciplina deben ser reconocidos.»
