Educational Q&A

Pilgrimage undertaken with dharmic intent—especially bathing at a highly revered tīrtha—generates purifying merit that can ‘uplift’ not only the pilgrim but also one’s own kin and dependents, emphasizing responsibility for others through righteous action.

A speaker addresses a king and recommends going to the famed Lokoddhāra-tīrtha, revered across the three worlds, stating that bathing there in the foremost sacred waters brings deliverance/uplift to one’s own people.
