Pulastya’s Tīrtha Enumeration: Sarasvatī, Naimiṣa, Gayā, and Associated Phalaśruti
Chapter 82
The verse teaches that choosing the correct sacred course—turning back from an unsuitable route and going to a sanctified hermitage—protects one from spiritual downfall (durgati) and leads to the highest reward (Brahmaloka). It links deliberate moral-spiritual direction with ultimate destiny.
Ghulasthya gives guidance about where one should go: after returning from the Jambū-route, one is instructed to proceed to Tandulikā’s hermitage. The statement functions as a directional and soteriological instruction, promising freedom from misfortune and eventual ascent to Brahmaloka.
