Chapter 82
तेनैव प्राप्तुयात् प्राज्ञो हपयमेधफलं नर: । ब्राह्मणा: क्षत्रिया वैश्या: शूद्रा वा राजसत्तम
tenaiva prāptuyāt prājño hayamedhaphalaṃ naraḥ | brāhmaṇāḥ kṣatriyā vaiśyāḥ śūdrā vā rājasattama ||
Por ese mismo medio, el hombre prudente puede alcanzar el fruto del sacrificio Aśvamedha. ¡Oh el mejor de los reyes!, sea brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya o incluso śūdra, ese resultado es alcanzable.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse asserts that the highest ritual merit—symbolized by the fruit of the Aśvamedha—can be attained through the stated means by any wise person, regardless of varṇa, emphasizing ethical-spiritual accessibility rather than exclusivity.
The speaker addresses a king and explains that a particular practice previously described is so efficacious that it grants the same reward as an Aśvamedha, and that this applies broadly to people of all social classes.
