Dharma grounded in pitṛbhakti (devotion to one’s father) bears visible spiritual and relational fruit: it grants auspicious vision/encounter and draws the elder’s highest affection and blessing toward the dutiful child.
The speaker addresses a son tenderly, explaining that the son’s present conduct—upholding an excellent dharma rooted in filial devotion—is the very cause that enables the son to see the speaker, and it also awakens the speaker’s profound love for him.
