Chapter 82
ऋषिभि: क्रतव:ः प्रोक्ता देवेष्विह यथाक्रमम् | फलं चैव यथातथ्यं प्रेत्य चेह च सर्वश:,ऋषियोंने देवताओंके उद्देश्यसे यथायोग्य यज्ञ बताये हैं और उन यज्ञोंका यथावत् फल भी बताया है, जो इहलोक और परलोकमें भी सर्वथा प्राप्त होता है
ṛṣibhiḥ kratavaḥ proktā deveṣv iha yathākramam | phalaṃ caiva yathātathyaṃ pretya ceha ca sarvaśaḥ ||
Dijo Ghūlastya: «Los sabios rishis han expuesto los ritos sacrificiales en el orden debido, orientándolos hacia los dioses. También han declarado los resultados verdaderos de esos ritos: frutos que se obtienen sin falta, tanto en este mundo como, tras la muerte, en el siguiente».
घुलस्त्य उवाच
That the sages have authoritatively taught sacrificial duties in a proper order and have also clarified their real outcomes: actions (yajñas/ritual duties) yield definite fruits both in this life and after death, underscoring moral causality (karma-phala) and the reliability of dharmic instruction.
The speaker, Ghūlastya, is explaining the traditional Vedic framework: sages prescribe sacrifices aimed at the gods and specify the corresponding rewards, emphasizing that these results accrue comprehensively in both worldly and post-mortem contexts.
