Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the sanctity of consecrated ritual space: a place made holy by merit and right observance becomes worthy of reverence, to the point that even divine beings and seers are said to frequent it—encouraging respect for tīrthas, rites, and purity of conduct.

A speaker named Ghūlastya describes a particular sacred vedikā, giving its extraordinary dimensions and emphasizing its holiness by noting that gods and divine seers visit it—typical of Vana Parva’s tīrtha and sacred-site descriptions.
