दमयन्ती-शपथः वायोः साक्ष्यं च
Damayantī’s Oath and Vāyu’s Testimony
न इदं च सदृशं भद्ठे मिथुन मम पुत्रयो: । अतो दृष्टवैव सहसा बाष्पमुत्सृष्टवानहम्,“भद्रे! ये दोनों बालक मेरे पुत्र और पुत्रीके समान हैं, इसीलिये इन्हें देखकर सहसा मेरे नेत्रोंसे आँसू बहने लगे
na idaṃ ca sadṛśaṃ bhadre mithunaṃ mama putrayoḥ | ato dṛṣṭvaiva sahasā bāṣpam utsṛṣṭavān aham ||
Dijo Bṛhadaśva: «Oh, noble señora, esta pareja no es distinta de mis propios hijos. Por eso, en cuanto los vi, las lágrimas brotaron de mis ojos de improviso».
