Educational Q&A

The verse highlights rājadhrama: rightful succession (kramaprāpta) and proper administration (samanuśāsti) grounded in truth and integrity (satyaparākrama). Legitimate inheritance is paired with ethical governance, not mere possession.

Bṛhadaśva continues a descriptive account, introducing a king’s son as an exemplary heir—heroic, prosperous, and truthful—who has received his father’s kingdom by due lineage and now rules it in an orderly, disciplined manner.
